San Diego, CA. (June 24th, 2017) –The awards were given out at the 43rd annual Emmy awards show in San Diego, California. The Emmy is awarded by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) to recognize outstanding achievements in television and online broadcast, and is intended to be an incentive for the continued pursuit of excellence for those working in media. M2 Digital Post Inc. received awards in the following categories, for the following projects.
Editor (No time limit) – Program (Non-news) – “The List”
Short Format Program – “Mourning Michael”
Military – Program or Special – “Workshops for Warriors: Scott and Michelle”
“We are both honored and humbled to be recognized by our peers at NATAS” Said Michael Towe, President of M2 Digital Post “And we are especially honored to have received an award for the work we did with Workshops for Warriors. Their tireless effort to help retrain, and find employment, for those transitioning out of the military is something we whole heartedly support!”
In 2016 M2 Digital Post Inc. donated all of the production and post production cost to produce the now Emmy award winning project for Workshops for Warriors. The donation was made through a joint effort wth the San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association and its’ “Cause Conference” The initial donation was for the amount of $5,000. However, due to generous contributions from other talented professionals from the San Diego production community, in the end the total value of the contribution was in the neighborhood of $20,000.00
